SubscriptionMate Privacy Policy

SubscriptionMate is a one-time paid mobile app for privately tracking subscriptions, bills, free trials, memberships, renewals, and recurring payments.

This Privacy Policy explains how SubscriptionMate handles information in the Android app published on Google Play under the package name com.SubscriptionMate.app.

Information You Enter in the App

SubscriptionMate lets you enter information about items you want to track, such as renewal or subscription names, amounts and currency, categories, billing cycles, start, renewal, and trial end dates, reminder settings, status, optional payment method labels, optional cancel links or website links, and optional notes.

This information is stored locally on your device. It is not sent to the developer or to a SubscriptionMate server.

Data Collection

SubscriptionMate does not collect personal data from the app.

The app does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, cloud sync, remote databases, user accounts, or bank-linking services.

Data Sharing

SubscriptionMate does not share your app data with the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

If you choose to export or share an encrypted backup file, you decide where to save or send that file. For example, you may choose to save it to Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, Dropbox, email, USB storage, or local files. Those third-party services are outside SubscriptionMate and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Local Storage

Your renewal data and app settings are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, Android may remove the app's local data unless you have created your own backup.

SubscriptionMate does not use a cloud database and does not sync your data to the developer.

Notifications

SubscriptionMate can schedule renewal reminders using local device notifications.

Reminder scheduling is handled on your device. SubscriptionMate does not use server push notifications for renewal reminders and does not send your renewal details to a server for notification delivery.

Backup and Restore

SubscriptionMate can create encrypted backup files on your device.

When you create a backup, the app prepares a local backup of your app data, encrypts it on your device using the password you choose, and lets you save or share the encrypted .rrbackup file using Android's native share/save options.

The developer does not receive your backup file or backup password.

If you forget your backup password, your backup cannot be restored. The developer cannot recover it because the developer never receives or stores your password or app data.

App Lock and Biometrics

If you enable app lock, PIN lock information is stored locally using secure device storage.

If you enable biometric unlock, authentication is handled by your device's local biometric system. SubscriptionMate does not receive or store fingerprint, face, or other biometric data.

Permissions

SubscriptionMate may request notification permission so it can show local reminder notifications.

The app may also use biometric-related permissions where supported by the device so that optional biometric app lock can work.

SubscriptionMate does not request permission to access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, photos, or financial accounts.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because SubscriptionMate stores app data locally on your device, you control the data you enter.

You can delete individual tracked items inside the app. You can also delete all local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage through Android system settings.

Encrypted backup files that you create are controlled by you. To delete a backup, delete the .rrbackup file from wherever you saved it.

Children

SubscriptionMate is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

SubscriptionMate is designed to avoid transmitting your tracked renewal data. Backup files are encrypted locally before they leave the app.

No method of storage or security is perfect, so you should keep your device, backup files, and backup passwords secure.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when SubscriptionMate changes or when legal, platform, or policy requirements change. Updates will be posted at the same privacy policy URL used for the Google Play listing.
